Things you might not know about the famous icon, Coco Chanel

Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel aka Coco Chanel was born on August 19, 1883 in Saumur, France. Some things you might not know about this fashion icon: She learned how to sew in the orphanage she grew up in. The nuns taught her all about sewing. Also before she became famous for her designs, she had a love for singing. Chanel also had a love for pockets. She felt like there weren't enough pockets in woman's clothing and accessories. To this day, you will find so many pockets in an original Chanel bag. Also, Coco's favorite number was 5. Why you may ask? Well how did the perfume Chanel number 5 get its name? This perfume actually launched on May 5 (the 5th month of the year).
